I went to see a movie tonight and while waiting in the lobby, I overheard two women talking. I could tell it was girls night out and it seemed the one friend really needed the other. Unfortunately it was a small lobby and I overheard most of their conversation. I was really trying not to listen because I didn’t want to eavesdrop, but when she started confessing to her friend she really needed a job because her husband was putting pressure on her to send out resumes and find something, but everything she was applying for was nothing she wanted to do, I couldn’t help but overhear. She was just sending out resumes for the sake of sending out resumes. She wanted to stay home with her kids. She might go teach somewhere, although she didn’t sound to happy about that. She wanted to do something creative. She had no idea what to do.

As I sat there I couldn’t help but think, “Oh my gosh. I can’t NOT tell this woman about Arbonne and give her my card!” Honestly, I have never done that before. I’ve given my card out to a great waitress here and there that I thought would be a great asset to our team and do well with Arbonne… Something inside me told me I needed to share Arbonne with her.

So we finally moved into the theater and with business card in hand I approached the two women, hoping I didn’t say anything wrong or stupid. I was nervous! I apologized profusely for overhearing their conversation and I told her I had an opportunity that might be right for her. I gave her my card and asked her if she had heard of Arbonne before. She and her friend had not.

I guess I’m blogging about this because, although I have no idea if Arbonne is right for that woman – what if it is? I had to step out of my comfort zone in a HUGE way and find enough courage to just say hello. Even if I just opened her eyes to the possibility that there are SO many other options out there…

So to the woman at the theater tonight… I hope you had a nice evening with your friend. I hope you enjoyed the movie. I wish you luck with your journey and I hope you call me. At least to sit down for a cup of coffee (hot chocolate for me) for 15-20 min to learn about the Arbonne Opportunity. Because what if it is right for you?

I can’t believe it! Arbonne is waiving the Preferred Client fee in July!

“Starting July 1 through the 31st, we will waive the sign-up fee for all Preferred Clients who place an initial order of at least $150 Personal Retail Volume (PRV). That means they will receive the Preferred Client Starter Kit and become a part of Arbonne at no cost!”

This is such an amazing opportunity to try our products while getting the Preferred Client benefits at no extra cost!

Not only that but if you have been thinking about starting your own business, this is a GREAT opportunity for you to do it for free! You can call your consultant to host a party for you, take catalog orders, or meet with people one on one that might be interested in starting a business with you. As your sponsor that is part of what I do. That’s my job – to help you!

Relay For Life

June 12, 2009

Did you ever wish you had time to give back to your community or favorite charity? A friend of mine introduced me to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life event 3 years ago. I went kicking and screaming to a meeting to learn more about it and left signing up for everything and couldn’t help but want to be more involved. Not only am I a cancer survivor, but I also lost my Grandfather to lung cancer. I wanted to be the FARTHEST away from anything that had to do with cancer for a long time. However, this event is the most incredible, wonderful and special evening to honor cancer survivors, remember those we have lost, and to help fight back by raising money for cancer research.

This year we (my other business – Monkey Wrench Studio) created an awareness video for our kick off and the actual event. If you haven’t seen the video it is on our website – Welcome To Glen Ellyn.

I am very blessed that I do have the time to get involved and help out. I donated Arbonne items to our raffle this year, and in about an hour, I will be walking with my team to continue to help raise money and awareness. Our event is from 6pm – 6am. If you’d like to come by and join us for a great BBQ and a very special evening with many fun events, please swing by Glenbard South High School. Or visit my team website for some more information: Relay For Life – Imagine Team I look forward to the day that I know no one ever has to go through what I went through or anyone else with cancer has endured. One day we’ll find a cure.

A great video was forwarded to me about people starting network marketing businesses as a 2nd source of income during this rockin economy. Visit my Arbonne website to check it out!
